Dear BNA Board,
It has been brought to my attention that the Branlyn Neighbourhood has voted to donate $1,000 to Equal Ground Community Gardens.
I cannot tell you how appreciated – and needed – these funds are. Some of you may know that we had our wagons, wheelbarrows, and some of our tools stolen over the winter. These items allow us to be more efficient and help grow the program. $1,000 will go along way to assist in replacing these items and help us to enhance the program in other ways.
Equal Ground Community Gardens has been gaining popularity and the need for fresh and local food is becoming more appreciated than ever before. We now support 38 Community Gardens around the City. The gardens not only provide healthy food; they also provide a place for people to meet and gather and an education to provide the skill of growing your own food.
We completely run on donations and fundraising, so again – we are very grateful for your support! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
